U.S.A.A.F. Fighter Pilot, 1943-45

The United  States Army Air Forces (U.S.A.A.F. or A.A.F.) was the major land-based aerial warfare service of the United States Army.  When established, it was composed of 15 permanent combat groups, each organized into three or four flying squadrons. By World War II, it held 67 combat groups:  26 were classified as Bombardment; 26 Pursuit groups (renamed fighter group in May 1942); 9 Reconnaissance groups; and 6 Troop Carrier/Combat Cargo groups.  This figure represents a U.S.A.A.F. fighter pilot wearing the classic A2 leather flying jacket under his life preserver, and carrying parachute.  He appears as he would have pre-flight ready to mount his P-38, P-47, or P-51.

1/30 Scale Resin and Metal Kit
Unpainted, Unassembled

Our models come out of the box pre-cleaned and prepped. Their polyurethane resin construction means sharp, crisp detail with no flash and little pitting.  The metal parts are clean and sturdy.
Our model kits are simple to assemble but by no means are they simple toys. They are highly detailed, historically accurate model kits – the most ardent modeler can’t deny the quality and detail found in our kits!
At our core, we here at Campaign Miniatures are avid modelers, collectors, and above all, historians. We put a lot of research and analysis to make all of our products correct and accurate. And all Campaign Miniatures are compatible in size and scale with W.Britain figures and accessories so you can mix and match your completed kits. Keep an eye out for our ever expanding range of figures, vehicles, and accessories.
