Scott’s Brigade (Infantry in roundabout jacket)--makes 9 poses (1 officer and 8 infantrymen)

The set contains 9 model soldiers comprising of 1 officer and 8 infantrymen. The heads and arms are interchangeable with other box-sets within the range to enable the assembly of many more different action poses. The models are designed around two tactical scenarios: (i) advancing into combat and (ii) defending/firing line.

The roundabout jacket, also referred to as the shell jacket in the British Army or stable jacket in the cavalry regiments, was issued to the regular troops around 1800 and was meant to be used for fatigue duties. For battle actions and parade, the coatee was to be worn.

During the War of 1812, the soldiers of Scott’s Brigade were called into actions when their formal uniforms have not been supplied and thus the soldiers went into actions in roundabout jackets. Their subsequent battle performance established  their reputation and also that of their roundabout jacket.

Released in JULY 2021.
