Royal Marine Artillery, Rocket Section
The set contains 9 model soldiers comprising of 1 officer and 8 gunners, plus four rocket launchers. The heads and arms are interchangeable to enable the assembly of different postures.
The Congreve rockets were used extensively by the Royal Navy and Royal Marines, especially during the War of 1812.
All models are supplied unpainted.
The Royal Horse Artillery is formed in 1793 and is an elite corps of the British Army during the Napoleonic Wars. The gunners wear the hussars’ braided jackets (called a dolman) and the elegant Tarleton helmets. All the men ride horses and are required to move at cavalry paces.
