  Greetings—we dodged the snowstorm yesterday and are staying warm today. We had quite a busy Black Friday weekend. We would like to thank everyone who showed up and supported our small business. The Holiday Season is here. Place your Christmas orders ASAP! December 17th will be our last day for Ground Shipments for in stock items. We have thousands of items in stock but our website is not accurate - call or email if you want to check stock before ordering! Have substitutes if you have them! Typically, we receive our weekly hobby supplies, including paint and model kit restocks, on Thursdays and Fridays. We have just placed a massive Bandai Gundam restock, which is expected to arrive on Friday. We still have plenty of MTG Avatar booster packs and boxes available. Additionally, we recently installed a new and improved Pro Acryl paint rack, which required us to rearrange half of the paint aisle. Humbrol paint is now located in the 1/35 scale model kit section. NOTE: My last show of the year is the London Toy Soldier Show, which takes place on December 6. Unfortunately, I will not be attending the Virginia Toy Soldier Show. It is actually quicker to fly to London than to drive to Virginia from the Boston area. Hopefully, I will be able to attend the next Virginia show in February.

  Thanksgiving and the holidays are just around the corner. But before that, we have a show in Long Island, along with many exciting announcements and gaming events. Tomorrow, I will be heading to the Long Island show. My longtime friend and customer, Alan, will be helping me, and I will be staying at my friend Jim's house on Friday. These are some of the first people I met in this great hobby. They are passionate about everything—history, toy soldiers, gaming, and miniatures. The November Gaming Calendar is now available. The new Magic "AVATAR" set will be available this weekend and will be sold out almost immediately. Unfortunately, the collectible card business is booming, and we cannot get enough stock of any of it! The West Coaster Toy Soldier Show is now scheduled for March 8, 2026, and the Chicagoland Show is set for September 20, 2026. Tomorrow, I will be attending the Long Island show. I have also booked a flight to the London Toy Soldier Show, which takes place on December 6. Unfortunately, I will not be attending the Virginia Toy Soldier Show. It is actually quicker to fly to London than to drive to Virginia from the Boston area!

  Greetings—the cold weather has set in, and we have been getting close to freezing temperatures at night. Thanksgiving is next week, and we will be closed for Wednesday night gaming and on Thursday, 11/27.   Greetings, modelers, gamers, and toy collectors! November is kicking off with many new toy soldiers and games. The November Gaming Calendar is now available. See the schedule below or visit our Facebook page. Typically, on Thursdays and Fridays, we receive our weekly hobby supplies, including paint and model kit restocks. Throughout the week, we get a variety of games from several sources. Last weekend, the new CCG Riftbound was a hit, and we sold out of the limited supply we received. Most collectible card games are in short supply, although we do have a good stock of the new Star Wars Unlimited cards, which are currently on sale. The Wednesday game night is now permanent. The West Coaster Toy Soldier Show is now scheduled for March 8, 2026, and the Chicagoland Show is set for September 20, 2026. Next month, on November 14 and 15, the Long Island Historical Miniatures Show will take place in Freeport, NY, at the REC Center. Hobby Bunker will be attending. I am feeling a bit rambunctious and might dash over to the London Toy Soldier Show on December 6. The John Jenkins Designs December releases are now available for pre-order. The new King and Country November releases have also been announced, along with some exciting items from Thomas Gunn Miniatures. The UK companies we deal with have been forced to charge us duties on their end, and we then have to pay tariffs on our end. As a result, we may be increasing prices on some brands, such as Victrix, Perry, Gripping Beast, and other historical wargaming items. Check out the links below for updated collections, retired pieces, and sale items. This week, we have continued adding retired and rare toy soldiers to our website. Some have sold within minutes of being listed. Please note that our site is not updated in real time and is managed manually. Occasionally, during the night when we are unavailable, the same item may be purchased more than once. In such cases, we follow a "first come, first served" policy. The model kit collection has been priced and shelved, and we have also added a variety of military books along with a pile of Ballantine books—each on sale for just one dollar! To clarify, these are for sale in the shop only—no online sales for a dollar! We also have hundreds of other military books for sale in the shop. There’s plenty of excitement and hobbies to keep you busy here at the Bunker.

  Happy Halloween!

  Greetings, modellers, gamers, and toy collectors! It is cold and raining here today, but it looks like the weather will clear up by Halloween. The November Gaming Calendar is now available. See the schedule below or visit our Facebook page. This week, we received a much-needed restock of Battlefoam bags and foam trays. These are designed to store and transport your gaming miniatures to their next battle. On Friday, besides Halloween, we will receive some essential hobby supplies, car models, Gundam kits, and games! The Riftbound CCG game launches on Saturday, and we will have a very limited quantity available. We are quickly selling through our massive Games Workshop shipment, and the new Space Marines just arrived today. I hope to organize a Bolt Action Day soon and possibly a Winter (January) Games Day for the shop. Last night, we had 10 Kill Team players. If you’re looking to game on a Wednesday night, we have plenty of space and parking! The West Coaster Toy Soldier Show is now scheduled for March 8, 2026, and the Chicagoland Show is set for September 20, 2026. Next month, on November 14 and 15, the Long Island Historical Miniatures Show will be held in Freeport, NY, at the REC Center. The John Jenkins Designs October releases, along with the November releases, have arrived. The huge tariff increase has been halted, but it still remains at 47% for imports from China. We have experienced price increases and shortages from many of our sources. The final batch of new King and Country October releases has just arrived—hopefully before November 1st. Currently, the threat of tariffs may affect November releases and beyond. Let's keep our fingers crossed that negotiations are completed successfully. Thomas Gunn Miniatures has just made a big announcement with some great new releases. Unfortunately, we won't have them up on our website until tomorrow. I hope to list some nice "Big Ticket and Rare" items on eBay by tomorrow, including K&C Warbirds, JJD WWI airplanes, and lots of odds and ends.
