Happy Halloween!October 30, 2025 Greetings, modellers, gamers, and toy collectors! It is cold and raining here today, but it looks like the weather will clear up by Halloween. The November Gaming Calendar is now available. See the schedule below or visit our Facebook page. This week, we received a much-needed restock of Battlefoam bags and foam trays. These are designed to store and transport your gaming miniatures to their next battle. On Friday, besides Halloween, we will receive some essential hobby supplies, car models, Gundam kits, and games! The Riftbound CCG game launches on Saturday, and we will have a very limited quantity available. We are quickly selling through our massive Games Workshop shipment, and the new Space Marines just arrived today. I hope to organize a Bolt Action Day soon and possibly a Winter (January) Games Day for the shop. Last night, we had 10 Kill Team players. If you’re looking to game on a Wednesday night, we have plenty of space and parking! The West Coaster Toy Soldier Show is now scheduled for March 8, 2026, and the Chicagoland Show is set for September 20, 2026. Next month, on November 14 and 15, the Long Island Historical Miniatures Show will be held in Freeport, NY, at the REC Center. The John Jenkins Designs October releases, along with the November releases, have arrived. The huge tariff increase has been halted, but it still remains at 47% for imports from China. We have experienced price increases and shortages from many of our sources. The final batch of new King and Country October releases has just arrived—hopefully before November 1st. Currently, the threat of tariffs may affect November releases and beyond. Let's keep our fingers crossed that negotiations are completed successfully. Thomas Gunn Miniatures has just made a big announcement with some great new releases. Unfortunately, we won't have them up on our website until tomorrow. I hope to list some nice "Big Ticket and Rare" items on eBay by tomorrow, including K&C Warbirds, JJD WWI airplanes, and lots of odds and ends.

October 23rd News!October 23, 2025 Greetings, Modellers, Gamers, and Toy Collectors! I made it back from the New Jersey show without any issues—until we encountered roadwork on the Mass Pike (I-90), which added an hour to our trip. Since I have no shows for a few weeks, it’s time to get the shop in order and list a bunch of toy soldier collections. We have many gaming events this month, so please take a look at the calendar below. In the last week or so, we have stocked the store shelves with dozens of fresh Gundam model kits, hundreds of Games Workshop items (mostly Warhammer 40K), and dozens of fantasy figures (Reaper Miniatures). We also received Konflict '47 and some restocks from Warlord Games. A restock is on the way from North Star in the UK, from whom we source many of our historical gaming products. I hope to organize a Bolt Action Day soon and possibly a Winter (January) Games Day for the shop. The West Coaster Toy Soldier Show is now scheduled for March 8, 2026, and the Chicagoland Show is booked for September 20, 2026! Next month, on November 14th and 15th, the Long Island Historical Miniatures Show will take place in Freeport, NY at the REC Center. The John Jenkins Designs October releases, along with the November releases, have arrived. With a possible tariff increase on China to 157% effective November 1st, he thought it best to send them now. Unfortunately, we were not able to add any restocks. The final batch of new King and Country October releases will be dispatched tomorrow—hopefully, this will arrive before November 1st. Currently, the threat of the tariff may affect November releases and beyond. Let's keep our fingers crossed that negotiations are completed successfully. The Thomas Gunn Roman Archers and German Mountain Troops have arrived. We had to reorder the Mountain Troops because most of the first batch has sold out.

October 16th News!October 16, 2025 Greetings, hobby enthusiasts! We have many gaming events this month, so please take a look at the calendar below. Between the games, toy soldier shows, and me acquiring some collections, it has proven to be a busy month. Sorry I have been out of touch. The West Coaster Toy Soldier Show is now scheduled for March 8, 2026, and the Chicagoland Show is booked for September 20, 2026! But before all that, I will be in Wayne, NJ, at the PAL this Sunday for a Toy Soldier show that I don’t have to organize! I hope to organize a Bolt Action Day soon and maybe a Winter (January) Games Day for the shop. The John Jenkins Designs October releases are arriving today or tomorrow, and the November releases are now available for pre-order. Additionally, the new King and Country October releases have been announced, with most expected to arrive on Friday or Monday. We also have the new Thomas Gunn Roman Archers and German Mountain Troops. Furthermore, we received our last batch of the "unofficial" Indiana Jones figure (MLB018); we have sold about three dozen of these! Check out the links below for updated collections, retired pieces, and sale items. We have added many new items this week, including a massive collection of toy soldiers and 100 model kits. Additionally, we just added a couple hundred military history and modeling books to the store shelves. We have a couple of big game shipments arriving tomorrow and literally dozens of Bandai Gundam kits are expected today. So, there’s plenty of excitement and hobbies to keep you busy!

October 8th NewsOctober 8, 2025 Hey everyone! Sorry I have been out of touch. Running the Chicagoland Toy Soldier Show (CTSS) requires a tremendous amount of work and consumes all my time and energy. Just as I was about to rest, it was time for the NETSS Toy Soldier Show this past Sunday. Thanks to everyone who came out to these two shows. CTSS is booked for September 20, 2026! NETSS may switch to once a year. Instead of early October, I might push it to early November to avoid an 80-degree beautiful day like we just had! The John Jenkins Designs October releases are on their way, and the November releases are now available for pre-order. Additionally, the new King and Country October releases have been announced, and we have a restock arriving tomorrow. War Park has introduced new German tank riders to accompany the StuG. Below, we showcase a couple of new plastic sets: Germans and Haitians. Yes, I said Haitians—specifically, AWI Militia.

September 18th News!September 18, 2025 Summer is coming to an end, and I am in full "toy soldier" mode. We leave for the Chicagoland Toy Soldier Show on Monday. This is the third year I will be running the show, so I finally have the hang of it. Also, on the 28th is Patcon, a great modeling show that will be held at the American Heritage Museum(hudson, MA) ,hopefully, I can make it next year. When I return from Chicago, I will need to straighten out my inventory and prepare it for the Toy Soldier Show in Burlington on October 5th. I am also working on booking the West Coast show for March 8th, but the hotel will not allow room trading. Once this is finalized, I can focus on other aspects of the business, such as games and hobbies! Hopefully, I’ll have some time for gaming once I’m out of "toy soldier mode." It’s great to cater to many customers, but sometimes it’s challenging to balance focusing on games, models, and toy soldiers all at once. Last night, several players participated in Frostgrave, Necromunda, and Kill Team. Tonight, we’re hosting our Magic Commander night along with open tabletop gaming.
