  We have another fantastic week planned here at Da' Bunka! The weather has finally improved, and Monday was one of the nicest days of the summer here in Wakefield! After returning from Historicon last Sunday, we spent Monday and Tuesday restocking the store and getting everything back in order. Between our Historicon haul and several in-store deliveries, we've received some great new arrivals. There's plenty more arriving throughout the week, so be sure to stop by and see what's new!

  We have another fantastic week planned here at Da' Bunka! It’s been a hot week here in Wakefield! Last Thursday, I returned from my trip to Europe, which included attending the Plastic Warrior Show on July 4. On Friday, we dove straight into packing and setting up at the Iron Weld Convention at the Sheraton in Wakefield. We all took turns "manning the booth" during the three-day convention. I worked straight through the weekend to catch up in the store and prepare for Historicon in Lancaster, PA. I leave tomorrow for the four-day convention. We have also recently added a bunch of new metal toy soldiers to the website, so scroll down the newsletter to find out more information. Tomorrow, we'll be restocking the shelves with a wide variety of hobby supplies, paints, and other essentials. Be sure to stop by and check out what's new!

  STORE NEWS! Greetings! We have had a busy week at Da' Bunka! Many people took advantage of our in-store sale. We also had a young man from North Carolina visit us three times, purchasing American Revolution W. Britains and scenery to create a large diorama for the 250th anniversary. He was in town with a church youth group, and they plan to display the diorama in their church’s glass cases. The launch of the Games Workshop 11th Edition 40K starter set was a great success! We opened early on Saturday and sold eight sets before the shop officially opened. Our local 40K expert, Spencer Connell, hosted a "Learn the Rules" day and brought some light refreshments for the group. We will be open on July 4th from 10:00 AM and will close around 4:00 PM. The large parade in Wakefield begins at 5:00 PM, and North Avenue will be closed for a few hours.

  STORE NEWS! Greetings! The temperature is warm, and things are heating up at Da' Bunka with exciting new products and inventory. The shop has been very busy lately, and we continue working hard to keep the best sellers on the shelves. Don’t see something? Just ask, and we can order almost anything hobby-related. After a week off, I am now back from surgery. I had a deviated septum corrected along with a few other procedures. My face is still hurting—ouch. We received many goodies this week, including several cartons of hobby supplies such as paint, tools, primers, aircraft models, car models, additional Gundam kits, and 1/35 scale tanks and ships.

  Greetings! Business is as usual here at the Bunker, except for the loud noise Saturday. Apparently, a meteor was nearby and made a sound like an explosion! The shop has been really busy lately, and we continue working hard to keep the best sellers on the shelves. Don’t see something? Ask, and we can order almost anything hobby-related. After a couple of years away, Joe and I will be heading down to Historicon the following weekend in July. July 26th is the Toy Soldier Show in New Jersey. I will be attending the Plastic Warrior Show on July 4th in London. Then we will be at Iron Weld on July 11th and 12th at the Sheraton in Wakefield. Then Historicon, and finally the Toy Soldier Show in New Jersey on the 26th. My weekends will be busy in July, but I’ll be happy inside with the AC running! I will be out of touch for a few days. Need to get a deviated septum fixed!
