Shahi-Kot Valley, Afghanistan March 2, 2002 Task Force Rakkasan was supposed to be the blocking force for for Operation Anaconda -- a surprise assault designed to clear the Taliban from the Valley. The Taliban were more than ready for the Americans and the Rakkasan's found themselves under intense fire on the Valley floor with little cover and no choice but an uphill rush to root out the foe.
