Not all of the ‘Old Guard’ wore their famous ‘bearskins’ at the battle. During the ‘100 Days’ Campaign, there were many supply shortages and even some of the ‘Old Guard’ were affected. Although he may have lost his ‘Bearskin’ cap, he has not lost any of his fighting spirit.
