Guys

Went to the LTSS today and is was very quiet - both in terms of number of traders and visitors to show. Not sure it was a smart move to have the show in school Easter holidays or so late in year.

Here are a few pics:

First up are Empire Military Miniatures. Personally, I do not like their WW1 / AZW figures they are not as good a WB. But there new Zulu's due in July did look v good and for me the new Lancer (that is doing done with a kit manufacturer Tommy's War) is v good.

The new range from Centurion that is for the Sikh War. The pics may not do them justice but I think they are very good .

There a few more on photobucket but it takes so long to do when you have so many to post it is just too time consuming.

You should seriously look at changing the pic upload software; on another site I can upload so much faster

I wasn't thrilled with the Empire WW I purchased last year but the Lancer does look pretty good. Thanks for the photos.

The Lancer is in a different league; the sculpting is done by Tommy's War who produce some fantastic sculpts - they only really do WW1. I am not sure where the range will go with them but I would certainly consider buying a line of charging lancers

They definitely look much better than the Belgian sculpts.

Here's an excerpt pasted from the Tommy's War newsletter I received yesterday. At 67.50GBP that Lancer looks like excellent value to me. They have some fantastic sculpts in their kit figure ranges and I'm looking forward to subsequent pre-painted releases from them. Did you find out what the next two figures will be?

I’m delighted to bring you news that selected figures from the Tommy’s War range will now be made available as metal, pre-painted collectable figures.

By popular demand, I’ve partnered with Empire Military Miniatures to bring the current model range to life, beginning with one of the most popular figures – the Trooper of the 9th Lancers (model range; TW54C01).

The figure uses the same master and is factory painted to a high standard and is limited to just 100 copies, so will be sure to be popular.

We’ve already got the next two figures ready for production and look forward to bringing you more details soon.

The London Toy Soldier Show, 2nd April 2016

If you’re in or around London and want a closer look at the new Toy Soldier range then they will be available at the Empire Military Miniatures stand at the London Toy Soldier Show in Islington on Saturday 2nd April.

I will be there, representing Tommy’s War. As such, I won’t have my regular stock, but if you would like to pick-up any orders then email me in advance and I’ll bring your order down to London.

On the stand we’ll be selling the Lancer, and previewing the next two releases, you’ll also be able to view the outstanding figures from the full Empire Miniatures range as well!

These look extremely well done and might well find their way into my collection at some point late this year, or early next year. Wonder what the Sikhs will look like? If they're as good as these appear to be, then my hobby funds are toast..!!

Harry

One of the figures displayed was TW54002 – Private, Lincolnshire Regiment 1914. Again another great figure by Tommy's War and better than Empire IMHO

Those pics are a phone camera and I think they look better in person; that is first 7 figures.

Sikhs are planned and he wants to do Sikh cavalry

Tommy's War also do a small range of kit figures called "Victoria's Hero's", which I've been almighty tempted to get into.

GAZZA -- do you know who does the Renaissance Knight in the photo below? (Is he a Spaniard? or Italian perhaps?)

Some more:

And who does these Medieval Knights? I might well be wrong, but they don't look like kit figures.

Thanks

H

One piece unpainted kits EK Casting  http://soldatikov.net/en/4_ek-casting

The Old guard took up arms, went out and made the Cossacks flee simply by its presence.
