I watched this last night and was pleasantly surprised.  I found it an amazingly mature and restrained effort by Michael Bay.  The acting was good and the action scenes, while jumbled and hard to follow at times, appearred beleiveable.  The ex-Seal, Ranger, Recon auto weapons fire was generally well disiplined with mostly triple taps.  While based on a book about the actual events, there are many apparant views about the accuracy of the story but it was compelling to me.  I am not much a fan of modern warfare movies, including the much recommended Blackhawk Down, but I did like this one.

Rumor has it this flik is a beer and pretzel 'don't miss it' hoot for Barry and Hillarity.

Too bad she was not a encarcerated 'druggie'and/or illegal invader serving hoosegow

time as she would of had an odds on chance of being pardoned.

I found it to be an excellent film. I have the dvd and have watched it several times. I appreciated it more after the second viewing. It was difficult telling friend from foe , but I cannot imagine the confusion ans stress of the real event.

I have not yet read the book,{ have to order it on Amazon as I have yet to find a copy at any local stores} but it is highly regarded as an accurate factual account, without all the political BS back and forth. Just the fact's , as it happened.

Seeing 3 of them in an hour long interview convinced me .

I'll take the word of those that lived through the ordeal over there critics any day.

We watched it some time back, well worth a look. Enjoyed the roof top scene envolving night vision and the bus. Some really great combat scenes, what a terrrible situation to be left in. I don't see anything remotely like this happening to our assets around the globe anytime soon.

It was an absolutely brutal situation.  I kept thinking what a shite hole, why even bother.  The sad truth is that we helped make it that way.  It is a real pity our politicians and diplomats do not follow the first principle of the hippocratic oath, first do no harm.  Of course our doctors don't do that either as a general rule.

I have been puzzling over this since I never ran across the rumor but I certainly didn't find anything funny about that movie?

I did not see anything that supported or condemned Bill and Hillary. It seemed to just focus on the troops on the ground with only nebulous references to indecision at the top.

Gentlemen,a thousand pardons if I offended your sensitivities as to what ultimately led up to and(who)denounced

this fiasco. I was indeed ,way out of line.At times, one may tend to misjudge his audience.

And after all,it's only a movie.
